Love the colours on this shot JR, pin sharp too! When they get this wet do they hang about whilst they dry or do they just fly off?

Nick. :toast: :toast: :wavey:

Thanks Nick
No most species clear off to find some shelter where they can preen and dry off. The only ones I have seen stay and do it are Chiffs and Willow warblers. Don't know why- oh, - and Wrens do it sometimes too.
Cheers

Yes, that really is sharp. Nothing wrong with using 125th either, certainly not on a still subject.

The detail in this is simply stunning! You can see every feather! And the colours are lovely too. You'd think they'd get chilled getting this wet, but I guess it's only the outside feathers that get soggy?

Cricky he is half drowned, like everone in your neck of the woods, hope it passes soon and you can post more of these little crackers :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

The super fine detail the D7000 captures is amazing, John. Love the shot too, the water has a lovely feel to it.

Crikey looks like this was in it when it got washed away the last time John. Love it though
