I was out and about this afternoon around 2pm and said to myself "Self, if conditions stay like they are now, that gap in the clouds at the horizon is going to make for an epic sunset. Best find a place to shoot it."

About 4:30 I took a walk down the creek behind my house in Parker and here's what I found.

Sweet Bill! I'm glad someone got a photograph of it! I was stuck at work and had to just sit and watch the magic happen

Lovely sunset indeed, and you found a great place to show it off!

With a scene like that I'm thinking you'll never sell your house.

Well done for heading out and capturing this Bill. I was sat at my desk at home when all of a sudden everything turned orange in the room! Quite an amazing sight last night - some of the clouds over the Front Range were even tinged green for a while (some optical effect I can't claim to understand...).

I know how good comps of the creek are hard to find around here, but you picked a very nice spot. Great color and light with a very natural balance of tones in this. Beautiful image, Bill!

Really nice shot. I was up north of there when I saw these clouds. Perhaps one of the best sunsets I've seen in a while! Amazing you have a scene like this so close to home. Glad you captured this---and the glow it had on the landscape.
