Water Vole
Not exactly the most beautiful of water side habitat ,- but thats the way it is.
The stream in fact is in a gulley about a yard wide and a yard deep with the water about 18 inches across- so no chance of any low angle stuff. I liked the way the shaft of light just hit the head on this one.
D7000 Sigma 100-300mm 640 ISO
125th @f11 Quite a large crop
Levels Paint Shop Pro. Sharpen csm high pass.
Thanks for your comments on last pic. (Nice to get weekly pic on the macro gallery with the stacked fungi )
Cheers

Thats another defferent shot JR. Feels a little tight in the frame but you may have reasons for this crop. I also find the two white patches to the left of the image a little distracting but could be removed if so desired. The water voles here are black and I must try to get some images of them. Vey nice environment shot.

Get the chest waders out and get in there John
I'd imagine the potential negative message in this shot would have some serious commercial viability in certain quarters John - definitely worth more shots, and not too low an angle either, otherwise the 'pollution angle" would be lost.

Second one for me JR. I take it the stools are not the ones for sitting on?
