I came across this Heron while on a Sunday cruise on my waverunner at Lake Norfork in Southern Missouri. Actually I photographed this right on the State line with Arkansas.
This is one of my few "wildlife" shots, hope you enjoy :)

Lake Norfork is my personal favorite of the Missouri lakes, if you ever get a chance to check out the area I highly recommend it.

Lovely image, Mark. The reflection in the ripples really do it for me. Thanks for posting!

This is a wonderful image Mark! So much that moves me around the frame, and the placement of the intersecting ridgelines at the top is perfect. I also like how the reflection is chopped up by the ripples. Great work...this should be in a gallery. Thanks for posting!

So Mark, do you always carry your 20D with you on the Waverunner? In this instance I'm glad you did. This is a really good photo! Like Tim, I immediately liked the way the ripples draw you in to the subject and the OOF intersecting hills really cap this off. Great shot! :toast:
