Tears, idle tears

Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean,
Tears from the depth of some divine despair
Rise in the heart, and gather to the eyes,
In looking on the happy Autumn-fields,
And thinking of the days that are no more.

Alas, while your intent is to be admired,
I am feeling a bit less than inspired.
Perhaps it is the bright sky
that distracts my eye?
But more likely than not,
it is surely the spots
that cause me to dream
of a lens that needs cleaned.

With great respect for your creativity regardless,

The image isn't resonating with me, Morris, but I applaud your creativity. Honestly, this post was worth it just to read John's response
