This was taken w/ my phone camera. The vine has sprawled over a residential fence about 15 feet wide and all the way to the ground. The leaves are unfamiliar to me, as are the flowers. But, the buds appear to be some kind of leaf??? Sure is impressive....but, if it is poisonous, I won't snitch a cutting.......... Anybody know what this is?
Lucy, I believe it's a Red Passionflower, Passion Vine, Passionvine (Passiflora manicata). Google that name and see if it has the same characteristics as your plant.

Lucy: Definitely a passion flower. These are host plants for gulf fritillary butterflies so you might want to look for some caterpillars. The flowers are usually one day bloomers so if you want to shoot them don't wait until tomorrow.>=))>
