A young lowl on an old cart jack from august this year. I thought hard about the square crop. In pano there was too much plain BG and I did not have enough of the jack for a portrait due to a plastic container of meal worms being in the way. As always I am interested in your thoughts

Lovely shot! Love the pose of the owl. I'm never fond of square crops personally, but in this case it does work to my eyes, the composition is balanced with the diagonal lines and the owl in the top quarter. Really like the warm colours too.

I have a feeling we are in for a long ride on the little boat :) Ticks my boxes.
Image return and hopefully a few issues addressed for the future.

Can't fault it, Bob. Last night I was about to post a Lowl shot, but you bet me to it
I think the two parts of the jack, pointing to the two top corners really helps the square comp work.

Superb image Bob...and square too! The colours all balance beautifully combined with the diagonals of the perch really make this a special image. Print it LARGE Sir!!
