In the screen shots above you can see the same image displayed in "Library/Loupe" on the left and in the "Develop" module on the right. When I opened Lightroom the image looked the same in both views and looked like the one on the right. I did a couple tweaks in LR (spot removal, enable lens profile, sharpening, noise reduction) and then opened the file in PS to finish it off and saved it as a psd file. Going back into LR, I now get a purple version when in loupe or grid (Library) view but it looks correct in Develop. I've seen this happen before but I can't remember how I fixed it.
So I went to a backup and re-imported the original dng file back into LR (no LR adjustments) and I still get the same behavior. When I click on the "purple" thumb and change to the Develop module, it initally loads the "purple" file but then it changes to the correct colors. Almost as if the jpg that is being displayed in grid or loupe view is in a different color space than the actual DNG file.
No other files in my LR catalog are displaying this weirdness! Anyone got any ideas??

One the left you can see that the thumbnail color matches the the main image in the Develop module. But, as soon as I click the thumb of the photo to the right, the original photo reverts back to the "purple" version. WTH????

Currently using LR 3.6 on an iMac running OSX 10.6.8.

Library > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews
Don't know how it got all screwed up int he first place but all is well again.
