One from Lake Manyara National Park in March this year. I had stopped for our packed breakfast with my friend & guide Bildad when these two perched next to the truck.
A slight crop and a bit of gardening done.

A very competent 2D image. I like the way the two twigs frame the birds. Excellent.

Be tempted to do more gardening but the rest is looking good!
Looks a tad dark overall Bob, some simple adjustments in LR Curves for the BKG & plumage brings it up nicely and those colours get to where they need to be. Looks a little over sharp on the RH crown of the bird, looks crunchy IMHO. Agree on breaking out the secateurs for a wee bit of pruning.

Can't really fault the overall comp Bob - and what a corking pair of birds to sit perfectly like that
I'd agree with Stevo over lightening the birds at least, and a bit of virtual horticulture; but I'd try and flatten the tonal variation in the BG - tonally it's a tad busy for me but simple to fix.

Minor nits covered Bob....what a cracking pair of Bee eaters! Lovely colours and pose and both with eye contact. Superb!

I always find it hard to get the colours of the eyes correct with these, but these look exactly right.

The Bee Eater is one species of bird I would to have in the viewfinder. Nicely done, Bob and some good advice given.

A very nice shot mate, but you know that! cant help but agree that lightening them a bit and removing the verticle twig woudl enhance an already sterling effort
