Burying Xmas trees at Formby Point in the pouring rain last Friday, it was so bad it was good.
This is a stitched pano showing that it was all worthwhile. This scene was completed last year and already the marram grass is colonising the area and aiding the stabilisation of the dunes. The trees will rot down in due course and will make the dunes appear much more natural.
This is a 2D image but I assure you the 3D image looks great on my lenticular screen.

Thanks Andy. Our small group is one of a number involved in the project. We always seem to pick the bad weather.

Thanks for commenting Bob, I doubt it, unless the red squirrels, natterjack toads and sand lizards want to play.

Have spent many happy hours on the beach near there David, one of my fave areas in Lancashire. Well done Sir, you deserve several pints!
Nick.

Thanks Nick, our group has been twice this year, both times in torrential rain, other groups and individuals give their time and effort as well, to help preserve the special place that is Formby Point. As a person who enjoys wildlife photography I feel obliged to give something back and help maintain habitat, both wild and man-made, including my garden, in a way that will support a diversity of species for their benefit and well-being. Now where's that G******s!!
