Bird photos being stolen

I found some of my images on this site http://fairy-wren.tumblr.com/ then found some of Ron Dudley's. I'm seeing other photos from NPN bird photographers too. This person apparently responds to their readers requests and then searches the web to provide them, using Google, blogs etc.

I sincerely doubt that even one of the images displayed belong to them.

Tumblr has an on line DMCA complaint form that is quite easy. If more photographers filed DMCA complaints sites like this one would be shut down.

The site is huge. Painfully slow-loading. And, as far as I can tell, every photo on it is stolen. Including several of mine.

Jim, I saw some of yours, Terry Sohl's, Mike Milicia, Christophers Dodds, David Hemmings and the list just goes on and on. I have a brand new pc with loads of RAM and I finally had to stop looking because going through all the images was bogging down my pc.

I'll be filing the DMCA complaints soon. Dozens of my images are there. Low-brow crooks!

I'm sorry to see this happening again.

How come nobody ever steals any of my photos???

That is because they are stealing yours Charlie, printing them and hanging them on their walls!

Thanks, Mia. I'll check it out.

Are they making copies or just linking to the resident site?

Dan, they are actually downloading the images then uploading them to their web site / Tumblr. They aren't hot linking.

Three of my images have already been removed and I'll file DMCA complaints on the rest that I find.

I see a lot of Dudley's in there....

I think all of mine have been taken down but I need to be able to scroll much further down than I have been able to so far to be sure.

I can only make it about halfway down before the site freezes (Happened twice). I see where some photographs have been removed, but can't review them all. Thanks for the heads up. I'm surprised they don't have a policy of closing down pages like that when they receive multiple infrigement complaints
