FYI. Some of you may have received an email from me, or other NPN members that is a phishing scam. Titled something like "Lon Hey" (with your name)with text including things like, "hey, check this out," or "Merry Christmas, how are you, check this out," and other variations. The link looks like an MSNBC.com news article or something.
Don't be a dummy like me and click on it! BAD IDEA. If you've been hacked, change your email account passwords.
Sorry to anyone who may have received one of these from me.
Nothing has shown up in my mail box, as of now, but I'll certainly keep my eyes on it.
Thanks for heads up today, and I hope you can get the mess straightened out.

This seems to be the current scam that's making the rounds. I haven't gotten one from you but same thing from a couple of other people that I know. Must pay attention for suttleties in how the email is addressed. If it doesn't sound like the way that person would normally address you, DON'T CLICK.

I got one and although the topic seemed a bit strange, it wasn't so far out that it triggered my "scam alert", so I clicked. I've changed my password, but so far haven't seen any bad effects....
Yep, I got one from Robert Dayton yesterday. However, once I opened the email I knew it was going to have a bad link in it so I just deleted it......

Yeah, I received it yesterday - thought you were telling me to get a new job!

I was. You didn't get the hint.
At first I was thinking there was something related to NPN members emails since I've received two in the last couple months. But then I realize it's a lot more wide spread than just NPN.
All seems quiet today. knock on wood.
Have a great day and weekend folks.

yep, i just got that email from *you* Lon--immediately came here since i figured you would post something. It was particularly evil since it addressed me personally...that's a new twist.
I got one those from my wife. I check the sender's email address to see if I recognize the address. I have received a few of this phishing emails. What a nuisance. They are usually not recognize by the spam controls.
