Wanted to share with everyone that I have two images on display at the new Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas.
This is a very neat, hands on museum with many exhibits. I was asked to provide to images to be used in the Texas Wild exhibit. My photographs provide the backdrop scenes for the desert and prairie sets. Both images are printed big. Talking something like 10x15 feet.
I got a chance to go see them yesterday and wow did they do a good job on them (not to mention the entire museum). I am thrilled very honored to be a part of it.
This is the prairie image used in the display. See more images and about the display on my blog

And here is one of a geeky photographer (me) at the museum with both images in the frame behind me.

Awesome stuff Darren. These images look good even as seen here (and the photographer looks calm, cool and collect). That's quite an honor, congratulations.
I had a similar honor a couple years ago when the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis purchased one of my Flint Hills images for the background of a childrens interactive "hands-on" sod house exhibit. It was sized 10' X 14' ... by far the largest print of mine in existance.
Once again, congratulations!

Way to go Darren, great images and they are even more impressive in the big displays.

Thanks guys! It was a surprise to be asked to submit something and a thrill that they picked two images.

Congratulations Darren! I would take that as a confirmation of your dedication. They look great. I hope I get to visit the displays sometime.

My congratulations also Darren. That is really cool. It must be thrilling to see your images used that way.

Congratulations, Darren! What a nice venue to showcase some of your work. If I'm in the Dallas area, I will be sure to check it out.
