Wall of Geese II
Again, Fir Island, WA; Feb 2006. Two eagles made a lazy pass overhead, spooking just about every goose in the field into the air. Heading right for me, I brace for a white shower. These is some compression going on here, but the skies sooned darkend as they passed overhead. Any guess what gets posted next?

I toyed with removing the grass but I left it in for a reference point. Without the geese in the bottom, it took too long to figure out what was going on in the picture.

I have three more or so geesers to post, then I'll be back to those tulips again.

Randy

Randy, this is nuts! I love the layers you've worked in here.

I like this one better than the first. Excellent layers and comp! Man that is alot of geese  Could use a just a slight horizon adjustment.

All I can say is...WOW...that's one heck of a flock! You should make it into a jigsaw puzzle.

Yep, this is great, Randy - better than the first! Keeping the grass in was a good decision. I agree that you could get away with a slight amount of leveling of the grass line and that jigsaw puzzle idea might just work with this image!!

I think what really makes this one work is the little piece of sky at the top, it gives the whole frame context. Without it, the thought that occurs to me is "wallpaper."

I tried the horz correction...........it helped however, I needed to crop more of the green out of the image. Leaving only a fine green line at the bottom it did look better. I now realize that the geese infront of me were in a semi-horseshoe. That's why the green was lopp-sided.

Thanks for your kind comments.

If you guys are interested, I'll be happy to host a geeser gathering next year......provided the cost of the liquid GOLD does not continue to climb. You can alwyas count on rain!
