Laguna Beach Calif bird ID's help
I was out in southern Calif for Xmas and spent 2 days at Laguna Beach and need some help identifying some of the shore birds I photographed.
Any help on these would be appreciated. This was the first time I have photographed by the ocean and it was a blast going through the tide pools.

My guess on these birds are:
Image #1, #2 - a Dowitcher
Image #3 - Ruddy Turnstone
Image #4, #5 - Black Turnstone

Thanks,
Jim

Image #2 - my best guess at this point is a Dowitcher?

Image #3 - appears to be a Ruddy Turnstone

Image #5 - another look at what I think is a Black Turnstone

Hey Jim, you've got all the Turnstones right, but the bird in the first two pics is a Marbled Godwit. the long bill with a pink base and a slight upturn at the tip is a sure sign for a godwit. it's also a fairly large bird (considerably larger and longer legged than a dowitcher).

Ditto what Brian said.
