I live in Nacogdoches, TX. and Stephen F. Austin State University is located here.
SFA has many sites such as the SFA Arboretum and Azalea Gardens, The Native Plant Center and many nature trails to name a few.
I'm posting to let people know if you are coming to this area and need help locating places to shoot nature and wildlife, please let me know. I will be happy to take you to some of my favorite local areas.
The image I am attaching was taken a few days ago at the Native Plant Center.

Welcome to NPN Gary and more specifically CSNP. We're glad to have you aboard. Not sure I'll be getting down your way any time soon but thanks for the generous offer. Looking forward to seeing more of your images in 2013.

Gary, welcome! Nice to see other Texas based photographers. I usually go west but have a lot of time in the Sabine National Forest east of you. Hope to see more of your images.
Thanks for the welcome, Darren. I too mostly go west or south to the coast when possible.
In the next few months we will be moving to the Lake Livingston area and hope to do a lot of shooting
in and around that area as well. I will be posting more images very shortly.

I like the red / blue contrast with the bird against the sky. Look forward to seeing more posts in the future.
