Tip of the Month 01/2013

Personal Gallery Link

Here is the method for linking to your NPN Personal Galleries from another site. For illustration purposes, I will use my own gallery;

Step 1 - Visit your NPN personal gallery and then copy & paste the URL into Notepad or any text editor. It will look like this;

http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=up&pi=JIM&ns=1&CGISESSID=ea3ab2ef5c759bfe30b07300038915ae&u=4715

Everything after the “&ns=1” can be removed, so the edited link will look like this;

http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=up&pi=JIM&ns=1

This is the actual URL of your personal gallery and can be used with standard HTML to create a link on other sites.

We hope you find this useful for sharing the photos you post on NPN with others!

Thanks Jim for this tip, I was able to link to my gallery from my web site with no problem at all.

I tried this and the link works but visitors are able to edit pictures.
