Am in the market for a digital projector. I need something that is good for a conference room setting...20-40 people typically...to use for teaching. I have a 15in Macbook Pro with the Retina Display that I will be using...so the computer and projector need to communicate well. My antiquated Epson projector thinks my computer is a foreign country! Can't get the resolutions to work. I'm not terribly familiar with projectors...so I'm sorry I can't be more specific with Lumens etc... I don't need bargain basement...but I don't want to break the bank either. Quality and ease of use are important to me.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

For me, Epson remains the gold standard for digital projectors. Rock solid, very good display quality and easy to use. If you want to upgrade, that's great, but have you downloaded the latest drivers from Epson's website? Might be worth a try.

Kate, I have a BenQ MP626 projector that I bought 3-4 years ago thinking that I'd be doing digital slide shows. That hasn't happened so my wife's been trying to sell it on Amazon. It's 2700 lumens, works smoothly with my iMac 27" through the USB port and I've got all the cables and manuals. It looked like a high quality, mid-cost projector based on reviews when I bought it, but I've used it for less than 10 - 15 hours, mostly messing with color calibration. If your interested, send me email.

Thanks folks... Mark, I'll check out the specs on line of your projector and get back to you. Thanks for the offer!
