MV Hot Air Balloon Jan11-13

This years' Hot Air Balloon Event at Monument Valley is earlier and almost snuck past. It is next weekend :eek: Jan 11-13. Just a heads up for those wanting to photograph balloons against sandstone.

Thanks, Doug! Just saw a small ad for the event in the recent issue of the Navajo Times. Aside from that, nada.
I'm gonna try and make it, weather permitting. Do you have to use the shuttle?

Morris, I have enjoyed the last two years. This year's could be chillier, but less windy. Two years ago, there were 50 MPH wind gusts in the afternoon
John, one can drive out in their own vehicles and not use the shuttle.

A bit far for me on a quick weekend, but sounds like a bunch of fun. How many launch out there?

I was the the Albuquerque Fiesta at the end of my fall run in 2012 and was absolutely loving it.
