EOS D60, 500mm, F5.6, 1/79th sec at ISO 200. USM and 25% crop.
After working an 18 hour day yesterday, I thought I would spend a relaxing afternoon with the wagtails - wrong!
Attempt 1: Arrive at site only to realise I've left my CF card in the card reader at home!
Attempt 2: Arrive back with CF card. Set up in sun next to burbling river and instantly fall asleep for 20 mins - doh!
Attempt 3: Finally get a semi-worthwhile shot! I'll be back for more over the coming weeks...

This is not a "semi-worthwhile shot," it is a great shot!
I would try burning-in (toning down) the lit pebbles in the foreground, but otherwise it is spot-on- pose, light on the water, sharpness.

Good shot of the wagtail in its habitat, and the grub in the mouth adds a bit of interest. If the original will stand it, I might crop in a little closer for web presentation. Maybe a tad more sharpening would be worth applying, also.
