With many new members joining the forum over the past year as well as many veteran members who haven't uploaded a photo yet to the NPN Photographers Gallery it's time again to get re-acquainted with one another. This month, post a self-portrait you have taken. You may have a snapshot of yourself looking at the camera while having fun in a natural setting or a timed exposure depicting you within a landscape. Maybe even give us some more information about yourself or your favorite subjects to photograph with your post. This way, we'll know what you look like at the Shindig on Feb. 9 and can tell you how much we enjoy your photography there!
Thanks to Phillip Noll for the theme suggestion. Remember, if you have ideas for monthly theme topics please feel free to share them with us in the We Need Your Ideas topic.

Here I am on a windy day not too long ago on the summit of Mount Elbert. I usually don't take self-portraits, but this time I wanted to have a picture of myself at the top of the highest mountain in Colorado and the Rockies. The view of Mount Massive and Mount of the Holy Cross in the background was pretty cool too.

I did this timed exposure at around midnight on the summer solstice while in Iceland at Jokulsarlon, where Europe's largest glacier feeds into a lagoon. The glacier calves off icebergs which float around until eventually going through an outlet to the ocean.
I mostly shoot landscapes with the desert Southwest being my favorite subject. Every once in a while if a critter wanders into my shot I'll take a photo of it too. I'm planning on attending the Shindig, for the first time in about 5 years, so I hope to see y'all there!

Me working on photos when all of the sudden a camera built into my computer started taking photos!
Well, it's plain why I never take a self portrait. And, before you are quick to agree, let me remind you it's plain why others should not also.
Dream Lake last Saturday. As you can see it was a great morning up there. It was great that Kane, Dozerman, Jimmy Gekas from California, and Fred Braun were all there at sunrise, too. A very nice surprise indeed!
Great shot Morris! good to see you up there too! What a morning!
Here's my ugly mug, up on McClure Pass about 5-6 years ago.

Here ya go. Trying to be "artsy" for a promotional piece I was working on.

Normally, these themes are packed with gorgeous photos but something went badly awry this month! There's a reason photographers belong *behind* the camera..
I'm smart and always stand as far away from the camera as possible!

It's not a great picture; I was sweaty and dirty, but here ya go!

It's great to see everyone's smiling faces out here!
