Sorry for the separate posts, but I wanted to put up a 1200px version of this one too. This one is earlier than the other and (obviously) has more of a focus on the canyon itself. CC welcome. Thanks!

I'm glad you posted this version, I was going to say on your other image that I would have much preferred to see more of the canyon in the image than the canyon wall. I love the tones in the canyon and the light is amazing, nice work!

Preference to this over the first image. You might try some more contrast in the canyon and see if you like it. I like the sky colors in this also.

Awesome! Defintily the better of the two...and not tilted either!

Beautiful light, drama and depth! Much as I like the mood of your other image, this one is definitely more solid.

Oh, yeah! I thought you 'botched your visit'?
Well, you certainly made a rebound with this one. Simply beautiful!
I agree with Doug's advice re: microcontrast. Try that Image Polish trick and see what you think (USM Filter--A-20, R-50, T-0).
Also, you might consider cloning out the bright blue sky peeking above the black cloud near the top left, as it's a bit distracting.
Regardless, this is solid hit!

This is better than the first one from comp to presentation, imo. A great grand view to be sure, and the light is excellent.

I prefer this one Josh! The canyon is lovely and the clouds, oh my!

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I'm glad I didn't completely botch my visit. :)

Looks like you had a fantastic visit to me! I second Doug and John's suggestions about contrast. Then press the print button... and print it BIG!

Great drama in this one, nicely done.
