Dunes 2013!
Another year, another zillion trips to the dunes!
I had two days off--and it was a no brainer to go yesterday before the winds hit. Still was close to zero degrees by sunset, but at least no wind! Ive never seen the dunhes retain snow like thye did this past week--amazing! Here's the highlights--ill save my best shot for a separate post in a day or two

Nice, Stan! That first shot made me wonder for a second if you'd made the long drive to White Sands. I think #2 is my pick of this set. I like its receding diamond patterns.

Those are all mood evoking, Stan. The first one is my fave for the great colors and frigid feel. :toast:

Considering the recent lows, you had some balmy temps !
#1 is fine as is, but I also enjoy the minimalism with the top 1/3 cropped.

I'm sitting here with 74 degrees and sunshine and needed a blanket after seeing these images. Really like the first one. Nice work.

I like the slope and shadows of the first image. The blue adds well to the cold mood. Have you thought of cropping off the sky and ridge to make it more abstracty?

The filtered light on #2 was definitely nice. It highlights the center of interest well. I like the b&w shot image too. Great work with the shadows.
