Frosty Hydrangea
Shot this morning after the frost. Supposed to stay below freezing most nights through Monday... wonder if Snoqualmie Falls will be collecting ice?

Nikon d800e with 100 mm and polarizer on tripod...I regret not going out to f22 for this...I was hoping for dof to give it a little more interest w/blur here and there... now I wish I had done this tack sharp throughout.

Hi Ken, This is a nice capture. I have always wanted to try stacking with a picture like this. I am not sure an f22 would have given you the depth you want. :toast:

Hi Pete, you are prolly right...I have never tried stacking...but this would've been a good one.... Kinda kickin' myself for not getting it right.

Hey, Ken, it's not so bad as it is. At least IMHO. The frost is decorative and provides nice contrast in color and temperature to the leaves. Be nice to see an f22 shot just for comparison...., I suppose.... But I sure like it this way.

Cold tomorrow too...back up six inches and try f/22?

It's nice as is, but it's worth another try if the subject hasn't disintegrated entirely.

Fantastic as is, but I agree another go with sharpness throughout would be worth it. I love the way the gentle colors and frost are set off by the black background. :toast:

Beautiful colors here Ken. I really like the frosty edges of the leaves. I agree with the others that this one needs to be sharp throughout for maximum impact.
