TRUMPET BLAST!! LAST DAY TO POST WINTER IMAGES for the contest. In the PNW, winter images do not necessarily have to have snow. Many thanks to those who have posted so far!
As of 3/16/13--Only a few more days left to post your photos for the winter contest. Surely you've been out shooting! Haven't you??

OK, I know this does not have snow but I was very ill this winter and did not get up into the mountains as planned.

Here is my submission. Taken at sunrise up near Mt Hood during this past January.
Somehow I missed the call for this. Most of my winter photos were taken in Wallowa County in late November, early December. Here is are a couple of my Winter shots of note (i.e. ones that aren't just middle-age women sledding!!)
This is Mt. Hood from the south, near Warm Springs.
I got back from Hawaii so I wanted to put in my 2 cents worth.
We had some great photos in our last second postings. Thanks David for getting it started! I'm probably just repeating what others have already said but thanks to everyone who posted.
Scott's photo has beautiful sunrise colors and cool winter tones. The exposure is perfect and the comp is excellent. I like the leading lines and I get cold just looking at it.
I really liked Marylynne's photo when she first posted it back in February, and she did a great job processing it after all the suggestions.
Wade's photo is also outstanding. he did a great job of isolating this quick bugger while still bringing out excellent details. And the lighting and background - Excellent! Great job bringing out the iridescent colors on the collar!
