I'm a bit late to this game too, but I did finally manage to assemble a collection from the year gone by. I did actually manage a good deal of satisfying shooting, but hit a rather odd creative wall in terms of processing, which has only just begun to come loose. But it was a good year for me, especially considering a baby in the house.
The attached image may be my favorite of all 2012, captured in New Mexico's Sandia Mountains at the last minute, sunset of December 31st.
I've really been enjoying everyone else's 2012 collections, even if I haven't managed to comment on them all. The talent pool here never ceases to amaze! Here's to 2013!

Crescent Sun, Ice Lake Basin and Sandia Peak are my top 3 picks.

Excellent collection, Jackson. My favorites are Rio Gallina (A fascinating place it looks like), Dawn under clouds, and the last shot you have as a large version here. Great light and moment in that one.

I love the dramatic light in your Sandia image.
I'm glad I came back and scrolled down in your blog to see the larger images.
At first, I just saw the collage and thought that was all that was available.
Congrats on the Belkamp Guide. I'll have to get that update next time I run the Lodore section.
I agree Dinosaur is a highly under appreciated national park. It's an amazing river trip, with superb geology, and quite affordable compared to a Grand Canyon trip.

I'd been hoping you would contribute a blog post with your favorites from 2012 and you did NOT disappoint. Thanks for the inspiration, Jackson!

Crescent sun is my favorite! Great take on the solar eclipse

Jackson, you are the silent assassin! you don't post very often but when you do, watch out! I love this series of images from far and away places. All of them evoke emotion and speak to me, especially Your Stormy Autumm, Aspen Dancers, and the Ice Lakes shot.

Really fine collection, Jackson. What a year, eh? I enjoyed reading your writing, too. You have a gift for that, as well.
Here's wishing you a happy, healthy and productive New Year with as much sleep as you can muster!

Sheesh. I would have been happy to just have any of your "also-rans" in 2012. What a wonderful collection. Your Cabezon shot is, still, probably my favorite image from last year's eclipse taken by anyone. Period. The Sandia Shield light is special too.
Many thanks, all! Kind words are always nice, but kind words from a group of really excellent photographers are the best!

I was going back through older posts to see if I had missed any and sure enough I had missed yours to my detriment. Loved the eclipse and the viewpoint of Ice Lakes basin as well as the sunset on Sandia. Great stuff. Having kayaked the Rio Grande Gorge multiple times, both upper and lower, it was really cool to see some of the rapids from that viewpoint-what week was that taken on?
Don, that shot was April 1st. Part of why I went that week is that the water was up a bit, though hardly high. That shot is at Big Arsenic in the Class V+ section; if you've kayaked that stretch, my hat's off to you!

Very cool, it looks very interesting from this higher viewpoint. When you're on the river things look differently I've run the upper box twice and the lower box about 5-6 times. Haven't run either section for about 3 years now. It's 4½ hour drive one way, and the river has a narrow window of good water. I did the upper at 900cfs and at 500cfs, with the lower box I try for higher water, usually aiming for 2000cfs+ to make it interesting.
