With spring coming up in a couple of months, what self-assignments or trips do you plan? For me one thing I have never been able to accomplish is create a web site for my images. Currently working on this project though. Something else I'd like to do this spring is spend more time exploring the local parks. I have always wanted spend more time at the Pea Ridge Military Park, Hobbs Estate is another place I'd like to visit. There are a couple of parks not to far off in Mo. I'd like to visit as well. While I won't be able to do much hiking there should be plenty of photo ops that I can take advantage of. So what are your plans for spring?

I hope to be able to photograph more and be able to spend more time in the field.

Good luck with getting the website up. I think it is a very worthy goal and idea for all photographers. Even if you just use Flickr, Blogger, or Wordpress there are no cost/low cost ways to get some work online and I think everyone should.

The holidays and new year were so hectic I really hadn't thought about it yet David. I do plan to go to west central Nebraska in early April to photograph prairie chickens and sharp-tailed grouse. Long drive but I'm looking forward to the opportunity to see them displaying on the leks there.

Just got back from my first assignment, a trip to the Grand Canyon for some winter photography. I hope to post some images soon. I am also looking forward to some nice rain so that I can go chase the new waterfalls in Tim Ernst's updated waterfall book.

I do hope Spring brings lots of rain. I need to spend more time in the woods than on my computer. I have plans to go the the GC in August to celebrate a milestone birthday. Good lord, it will be my 60th!
