I think I might start using a shotgun instead of a camera. 2 days in the hide and I ended up doing something else instead. ;)

I liked this shot despite having more bottom than top, just worked somehow for me showing where he had been rather than shere he might go. Horses for courses i guess. ;)

It'll do for me, I like characterful branches especially with a fine specimen of a nuthatch perched on it.

Hi Neil, looks a tad 'processed' to me, even at ISO800 and there seems to be a halo around head. Quite like the comp & head angle.

You did pick two great days to be in a hide didn't you Neil. You must have been frozen, but I am glad you got something to show for it.

Neil, you may want to alter the yellow saturation on this as it appears (on my monitor) to have a slight yellow cast. (look at the white of the bird around the beak)

Thanks all. Stevo, the halo is defo caused by the resize and web sharp it really looks fine a full size. Probably due to me dropping the bright patch a touch. Back feathers look nice and blue as does the beak at home and work (EIZO) so not sure.

Thanks all. Buzzard will follow promise.

David - I actually do think it is the BEST time to be in a hide, cos things get really hungry (except buzzards apparently). I live for this time of year.

Hi Neil, I assumed it would knowing your IQ, but it does look a little 'crunchy' on the two Eizo's here & on the MB Pro, but as you say, probably down to resize/web sharp. Be great to see this larger to appreciate the image.
