Well done, better than I ever got and I have a resident one at my feeder.

Essex? ive never seen one in herts or at all, prob looking in the wrong place. Cracking sharp shot, not keen on the stems in front of face comp but sometimes what can you do? well worth taking and posting

Now these are hard birds to get as they never keep still so top marks for the shot. Its in its habitat and well framed among the steps so I am fine with the comp.

Hi Simon . Maybe a bit(little bit !) off the right hand side for balance but still a good one.

Hi Simon. A sharp little bird but I agree with John about having a bit less on the right side. Also a touch more saturation perhaps?

I may also have taken a little off the top, but even so a great portrait of what I regard as a very difficult species.

I think this is a stunning shot and the foliage really adds to the attractiveness of this image.
