This is another older image that I recently reworked. It was made on Thanksgiving Day in 2004.

Tachihara 4x5
300mm Nikkor-M
Astia 100F
Tony's Magic Masks

Please see the larger version.

Your thoughts are always welcome.

Beautiful, serene and peaceful Preston. I love the smooth water with the crystal clear reflection. Colors are rich and seem to be spot on. Nice composition. It feels a bit like the trees on the left are aimed the wrong direction, but that is reality. Love it.

Oooh, I really like this one PB - and I don't recall having seen this before. The lines and color of the reflection are wonderful - would have liked to see more, but you've got a good enough chunk that complements the upper half perfectly. I like the starkness of the bare trunks. I see a strong vert pano of the left half, but this is certainly quite excellent as presented.

Keep on diggin' in to those archives!

Nice, peaceful little scene, Preston. I love the reflection. Nice job on the processing, too. It doesn't look like Astia.

Preston, this one really matches my thoughts on the comment I left on your "sing" post. The word I used was "connection". To me most anyone upon reviewing this image should "connect" in some fashion on a singular or even a multitude of thoughts. Obviously for us photogs it is based quickly upon the "artistic" aspects of the image. But, for others viewing this image and scene it can provide an amount of thought much beyond just the visual. Some of those thoughts could be based upon colors, graphic outline, peace, serenity, nature, floral, geological, riparian, water reflections, vegetation cycles, all around seasonal impact, etc, etc.
Beyond that it is technically very well captured and processed also.
