House Sparrows
Two little brown jobs-love my puddles.
Sitting in the water-right up to their muddles.

( Yes I am going senile)
Got a few shots before it flooded for the fith time. :frown:
Thought I,d give the old 200 a run through before it siezes up.
Nikon D200
Sigma100-300 f4( with a chip out the edge of the front element-tried to
get it apart to clean it !!)
800 ISO 125th @f8 EV down 1
Contrast down.
Neat image /CZM
About 70% of full frame. Bit of blue tit zapped in background.
Cheers
JR

Great colours in the two subjects, John. I do find the twig behind them a little distracting, but I fully understand why you have it there. Good to see another shot from your pools, and I hope it will not be too long before you are able to use them again.

I know it is probably a trick of the eye with angles etc but it looks as though the water is angled. Nice and sharp spuggies although the LH bird has a slightly blown white collar, easily sorted though.

I like the shot, although I agree with David about the twig. But apart from that it's a lovely image. :wavey:

Keep the twig, but have it coming out of the top LHC by removing the top 1 cm so losing the OOF grass. I wish there were a few more round here. :frown:

For a while we had sparrows back round where I live, but they seem to have vanished again. Lovely so see them here John, and looking good. :wavey: :toast:
