If the window is a bit cleaner then that dust bunny at eye level (right of the bird) must be in the camera then! There appears to be another one left of the bird at about mid body height. I do like the way you have caught it singing though.

Wellcapture in mid song and front on too. The BG adds to the image too IMHO.

Nits covered re the dust, and maybe I'd have put the bird slighty more to the right of the frame.

I used to have a Bigma a long time ago and found that at full stretch, it just let me down. Focus looks like its slightly behind the eye here, but that may be down to the window as well.

Not bad through double glazing, I don't even use a UV! loads of impact here :wavey: :toast: :toast: :toast:

David

Couldn't agree more clean windows are essential try a bit more muscle behind the "Mr Muscle".

Does the proximity of the end of the lens to the double glazed window have any effect? Perfect mid song full on image.

Pity about the glass here David as it would have been very nice without

Don't know about everyone else but if I shoot through glass I always put the lens hood right up to the pane to eliminate any reflections or glare and I usually find I neeed to add more contrast than usual.

I do 90 % of my stuff in the winter through glass and never seem to have a problem. I sometimes even stand back in the middle of the room so I don't have to use a blind in front of the glass. Its the old story - problems can be blamed on the wrong thing when there are many other factors which we all know about .
