I'm working on a project to sell, and trying to meet the buyers requirements. We've decided we to go with DuraPlaq and were looking at the options, one of which is the 1/8" "standard" plaque. I've always ordered the 3/8" so was wondering about the characteristics of the 1/8", specifically its rigidity.
Anyone have any 1st hand knowledge? Thanks!

If you're referring to the thin stacks, I've had some made and been very pleased with them.

Thanks Jason. Not so much the thin stacks (although that is another possibility), but the single 1/8" plaque.

I have not, sorry, I did see them in his display room though and they looked just as rigid.

I'm sure Tim might send you a sample or you can go to his showroom in Longmont and handle it yourself. Never used it myself but if he sells it I would be surprised if it didn't meet standards.

Thanks Dan... Longmont is a bit of a ride, but I'll call him and see if he's going to be at the RMNP get together next Saturday.

I have done a couple 20x30's on the standard plaque I was very happy with the rigidity, seems plenty sturdy to me.

I have a very large (44w x 68h) thin plaq stacked on the standard 3/8" back piece. Did it for weight savings. It bows a bit, but probably could have prevented this by making the whole thing a float.

Bob, Tim will be at the shindig Sat. with some samples. If you are gonna be there you may see something in that category.

Thanks Jack...I spoke to Tim yesterday, and I will be at the shindig. It'll also be able to give him some prints to mount without having to mail them.
