another from my Canadian Rockies archives ...
this image was made in the 1st week of May, about a week after the last snowstorm of the season. It's a very different view of Lake Louise than the tourists see in high season.

A very beautiful scene Howard, but the processing seems a bit harsh to my eye.
Oversharpening or some sort of Tonal Contrast filter applied?

I never realized the lake had such a large drop in water level !
Would you care to share your processing ?

It's been a while since I visited this area but judging from the configuration of the mountains is this Lake Louise or Morraine Lake? Either way the drop in the lake level is astounding.

Yeah, that's harsh, and I mean image itself, not the criticism. I guess that's my lesson that I should know better than to try to process images while I'm stoked on pain meds.
This is a re-do ... from the CR2 file. All I've done to it is applied some of Mumaw's "Image Polish," a very light touch of curves (output = 59, input = 69), and then sharpened it as another member instructed me to do.
Bill, it IS Lake Louise, cause I know I never got around to visiting Moraine Lake.

Much better, Howard! Still looks a bit 'crispy', though.
