I am looking to purchase a Macro Rail system by Cognisys. If anyone has had experience with this product or any other Macro Rail manufacturer please advise. I want a quality product. I appreciate any assistance you can give me. I value your expertise.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

William - I had a Really Right Stuff macro rail on order when I read your post. I checked out the Cognisys StackShot system, cancelled my RRS order and ordered the StackShot. RRS makes great gear, but the functionality of the StackShot is similar to what I have been designing on my own - so I couldn't resist. I hope to be experimenting with mine by the weekend. Perhaps we can compare notes?

Arlen,

Thanks for the comment. I have not purchased this equipment yet. I would be happy to compare notes so stay in touch and let me know what your experience's are. I looked at a Macro Rail at a local camera store but it was for manual use only and a brand I had never heard of so I have stayed away from it. I like the auto features of the StackShot. Everything I have read about it has been more than favorable. I have been stacking images manually but found I could not come up with identical results when duplicating the process. I expect to purchase this soon.

Thank You.
