Does any one have experience with the Sigma 50-500mm f/4.5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM or the Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM APO lens. It would be used with a Canon 60D. Any input would be great. Thank you.

No, Sorry Rich.

But I can tell you that their 120-300 f/2.8 OS is outstanding .

While it is a couple lbs. heavier than my "go to" 70-200mm f/2.8+2.0 TC, it is still way lighter than the 400mm f/2.8 I used to take over my shoulder.

It is a testiment to the quality Sigma endows their lens with these days.
Happy Shooting

I've been using the 150-500 for 3 years. I bought it knowing it was a compromise, this for $1200 or the Nikon 600 prime for $12,000. Never regreted it. I have many images shot with the lens that are selling for $600. I recently bought their matched 2x teleconverter and am not happy with that, but I may just need more practice with it.

My experience is similar to Bob's. I've had the 150-500 for a couple of years, and am very happy with the quality of build and the image quality I obtain with it. I've tried it with an older 1.4x Sigma TC (not specifically matched to this lens) and the IQ is reduced so much that I never use it. I've heard similar reports from other Sigma users - this lens doesn't work well with any teleconverters, apparently. The OS function works great. I rarely use a tripod anymore (though I know I should).

I've had the 150-500 for almost two years, and I also am really happy with it on my D7000. I'm just an amateur so don't have anything more expensive to compare it to, but I do have the Nikon 80-400 and used it for a quite awhile, and get many more images from the 150-500 that I'm happy with than I ever did with the 80-400. And the OS works very well for me also, I mostly use it handheld.

I've been using a Sigma 120-400mm VR lens for nearly 4 years.
It is robust and the image quality is terrific.
Never used the VR. Tried it when I first got the lens but didin't like the slight delay while the lens does its VR thing.
I use it with Nikon D300s and D80.
I would happily buy another Sigma. A friend had the 150-500 on safari recently and he was thrilled with it.
