Looking at the possibility of a trip to Seward, Alaska during the last week of June. We will be driving to Seward from Anchorage. Any thoughts on photo opportunities on the drive and around Seward? Also might you know of any photo guided tours in the area that you or someone you know has used? We plan on being in the area for a few days.

All I can tell you is that several years ago my wife and I took an Alaskan cruise that terminated in Seward and we were all bused to Anchorage. That trip was so scenic that we rented a car in Anchorage and make a phototrip back to Seward. Beats anything close around Archorage.

The drive from Anchorage to Seward is fantastic. While in Seward I'd recommend you take the Kenai Fjiords Wildlife/Glacier cruise. Well worth the money. Exit Glacier near Seward is a nice hike. I'm sure others will chip in their opinions.

Great photo opportunities on the drive from Anchorage to Seward. Check out the Turnigan Arm, Portage Glacier, and Summit lake. I second Bill's recommendation of the Kenai Fjords Wildlife Glacier tour.

Here is a link to a few shots I got in the area a few years back.
