500mm +1.4x f7.1 1/200
Hi all
Another one of my playmates from last summer. He stayed in this pose for a good two minutes whilst I took the same shot again and again and again...!

Spot on Simon. Stacks of detail and those whiskers are great

Agree totally with Bob. Pin sharp, you can count its hares!

This one looks just a little bit too sharp to me. Perhaps one less pass of USM? Still better than any of my hare portraits.

I am with David, just a bit too pin sharp but cracker of a closeup.

Which version, the large or the small? Or both? I have been experimenting with different sharpening mixes so it's good to get feedback.

On both, Simon, but it does depend what I look at it on. On my iMac both sizes look over sharpened, but on my laptop (with a slightly smaller screen) only the large one does. I have noticed before that images look sharper on iMacs (at least, they do to me), but it is something that cuts both ways. Hope that helps.

Now that I have a highred screen I find it very hard to judge sharpening properly on 1000px shots but here at work it is a touch too much on both Simon.

Good to know. I used to use four rounds of USM and one round of Nik Sharpener but switched to three USM and two Nik - maybe I should revert back. Cheers for the help guys
