The large HAS to be seen! Outstanding detail and light JR. One of the best Big Brown Jobs I have seen IMHO. Well worth the cold wait.

A tad more post to see more of the iron work,(I love old gate posts and gates) and the bird a bit bigger in frame, (I like 'em BIF   ). Superb detail in the large image.

I am glad it isn't any bigger in the frame, as what I especially like about it is the way the background, without detracting from the subject, gives a good idea of the habitat. I agree it was worth the cold wait.

Some cloning? Lovely light and perch, I would give a kidney for a perch like that, detail is good and all that with a 300mm... :| Well done you.
