Here are a few shots from yesterday and last weekend. I was able to catch a decent number of Northern Shovelers yesterday taking of and landing quite a bit. It was pretty fun but hard since they are pretty quick.
This first one is a Northern Shoveler taking off.

#4 Triplets....shot this with a shallow depth of field to try and give it more depth perspective. Not sure if it translated or not.

#5 Gull with a Snack (last one). I also posted this one in the Avian Gallery if you want to see a larger view.

Kurt: You should put that one (gull with shrimp) in the Louisville National Juried Photography Show!

Another excellent series, Kurt. 4,5,3,2,1 for my faves.

Great catch on the gull shot. They certainly haven't developed any table manners.

Nice series of images. I really like the postion of the duck and action it protrays in the first images. I wonder is a tighter crop would work even better by eliminating some of the right side? Can't believe how neon orange the feet and legs are!

Kurt, I enjoy seeing your wildlife images over here. This is a very nice series - I especially like the way that you convey the action in the take-off images with the water splashing up.

It's great to see you back at the top of your game. My favorites are the first two and the gull. Great catch there!

Kurt, to me #1 is the cream. I like the wing set that displays the plumage, and the thrown water frozen in the air. I could see just a bit more brightness though.
