New Book "Getting Started in Landscape Photography"
Hey everyone! It was great seeing so many of you at the Shindig.

I'm posting this notice here primarily for those who are new to landscape photography, such as the many who lurk on this website. For quite a while I've been working on an ebook that makes landscape photography accessible to all. It is designed for anyone who wants to explore the world of landscape photography, either as a casual hobby or as a more serious endeavor. It teaches the essentials that you need to know to take beautiful photos, yet without overwhelming you with technical details. It is written in a very down-to-earth style and filled with beautiful high resolution images to illustrate the ideas. For more information or to purchase, follow this link: http://imagesofrmnp.com/product/getting-started-ebook/

Also, I know that a couple of people won my ebooks in the Shindig raffle. If you haven't done so already, please contact me and I'll send you a link to download it.

Great! Thanks Erik! So does this tell me all the mistakes you made that I should avoid repeating? I could really use that, especially if you explain how to avoid the attention lapses that led you to drop one camera into a river and then another into the ocean!

Oh, and congrats on the new book.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Great to see the fun is still going on after the Shindig! Way to stir the pot, Bill.

There is nobody that could teach the basics better than Erik. Wait. That didn't come out right. :jump:

Seriously, anyone would be hard pressed to find a better teacher, and not just in the basics, but clear through to master. :toast:

I won the book at the shindig, and it's a very good beginners book and also a good "back to basics" book! Well done, Erik!

Congrats Erik, it should make a great gift to some beginning photographers I know.
