I see that the Tucson area has gotten some rain this year. I am considering going down there to photograph desert Spring flowers, probably in late March. Does anyone have suggestions on good places to go in that area?

If no one answers your query, you can pick up the eBook titled 'Photographing Arizona's Wildflowers' that will help.

Skip,

I haven't been here personally, but seen flowers from the freeway and also heard this is a great location for desert poppies. Check out Picacho Peak State Park. It's less than halfway between Tucson and the edges of Phoenix on Hw 10.

Sabino Canyon is another gem right in north Tucson. A worthwhile visit any time of the year.
