Hi all, used to be a forum member before but forgot my username and password so had to re register! lol!
Anyway, I just got my first DSLR today and took it for a test drive. Wanted to post a pic but can't work out how to do it just yet! lol!
I got the Pentax *ist DL2, am used to Minolta but that was out of my budget so tried the pentax out in the shop and was quite happy with it and decided to go for it.
All I have is the standard lens that comes with the camera but am hoping to get a couple more in the next two or three months.
Anyway, that's my introduction, look forward to sharing some pics etc with you all.
Welcome to you Alison.
Don't get too hung up on lenses.....it's the photos most of us here are interested in.
Some of my best shots (IMO) were taken with a cheap 50mm lens and some of my worst have been taken with a very expensive 500mm.

welcome and look forward to seeing images from your new camera
I'm now trying to work out ways of raising some money to buy a couple of lenses for my new toy, hehehe.
