Anyone heard of the Solent News and Photo Agency in the UK?
They have contacted me about running 'Cornered" in the UK press etc, with "complimentary" additional images. My first contact with them. I have a copy of their contract, looks fair enough.
Any feedback appreciated.

Howard, I've never heard of them, but what exactly does "'complimentary' additional images" mean? Better read that contract carefully to ensure you're not signing away more than you really want to. Try googling them; you may turn up comments about them on another discussion site for photographers

Hi Nancy & thank you. I have googled them, they seem to on the up & up.
I have read the contract, it's fairly simple & straight forward..
Just wondered if anyone here had ever been contacted by them.

I've worked with Solent, and things have always run smoothly. I appreciate that they pay via Paypal, whereas some other UK agencies send a check. Not sure what the complimentary image thing is though.

The "complimentary images" was just a request for a few more showing the same type of behavior Max. Something along the lines of the popular "Angry Birds" game people play on their iPhones or something. The writer contacted me today for more info.
Will see where this goes

I've worked with them and all I can say they are a decent agency. So is Rex Features Ltd.
