This one I initially didn't like, then I did, then I didn't..... So tell me if this works for you.

Here's the color version

I prefer the b&w version here, although it still suffers from uneven sky color. Easily fixed per Doug's link.
Unfortunately, these image sizes are just too small to comment upon the pose you chose. Still, large enough to say that I prefer the more meditative one in your first post. B&W may be a good choice there, as well.

The model's position looks rather unnaturally contorted, based on the small image size. I think the image would have a smoother, flowing effect if the model position mimicked the lines of the rock formation. Otherwise your choice of combining the human image with the rock formation is a good one.

I have to agree with the others here--at this size it looks like the model is something a hawk would be circling for--but it's a super idea and the landscape works well for the idea.

As another opinion, I actually think the landscape looks a little contorted and the model pose is not such a bad match. I agree that it is a little hard to judge at this size. I think the B+W is a significantly better take on the scene and like the concept. Maybe a little less contrast and a few clouds if you get another chance?

I have to admit that I didn't notice the model in the small image until reading the replies. Like Stan said, this is a great idea and worth advancing in the future. Let us know when you go back.

How nice! You guys will be my models for next time???! :jump:

I like the idea, but for me the photo feels uncomfortable due to the models head being on the downside of the slope. Others may not agree.

Nice comp and placement of the model.

Both work well, but on different emotional levels for me. The b&w always reduces the light to lines, tones, and shadows, whereas the color is more organic. I prefer the organic one here, but barely. Grant Collier has a site where he has explored the nude in the landscape and has done some outstanding work there. I also like the first contemplative pose best.

I like the concept a lot. I would have liked the model to be larger (stronger, closer). The model is too small and is almost non-identifiable. I also have used polarizer on wide angles, and had the same results with the sky being un-evenly blue. I no longer use them on my super wides.
Looks like a fun place to be. I will be there in June for a landscape shoot. Thanks for posting.
