Hi all,

Hope you're all well. Not been out very much, it's all work at the mo, but the lengthening mornings and evenings will soon see me out shooting again. Took advantage of a day off to start working with a local barn owl, my first time photographing these beautiful birds.

New lens and a lot to learn, but I'll get there eventually!

Nikon D300s, Sigma 500mm f4,
1/25 sec @ f7.1, ISO 200
Tripod

I do like that sense of movement in the wings, it works well.

The BG colour really compliments the owl Dawn. Never seen a shot like this and as david t has said it has an ephemeral quality to the image.
