Hi All!
I had a great day shooting at SNP East on Thursday- I'm sure many of you heard about our Arizona blizzard that affected most of the state. When I arrived at the park it had just begun to spit a few flakes but within minutes the ground was covered. The rangers closed the loop road but allowed traffic to use the picnic area about 1 mile in. It dumped for about an hour then within 2-3 hours it had pretty much melted off all the trees and cactus leaving patches on the desert floor. Talk about timing!
Here are my favorite ten,I haven't had the time to name them so numbers will have to do for now. Comments and suggestions gladly accepted.

If this wasn't enough of the snowy desert for you, check out this weeks Arizona Highways Magazine Blog featuring two of the images above as well as images by my two shooting partners for the day Saija Lehtonen & Timm Chapman. http://arizonahighways.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/its-snowing-in-the-desert/

Number 7 is my favorite of this bunch. The depth created by framing the saguaro with the snow is just magical. Must have been a day to remember.

Wow what a great catch. my favs are 1,2 and 4. I was there is late Feb 3 years ago and had lots of sun and no clouds, post card weather. You are lucky to be there during such unusual weather, did a great job capturing the images so well. Thanks for sharing.

This is a surreal sight. Certainly something we're not accustomed to seeing from southern AZ! Number 5 is far and above my favorite. I also like #s 10, 7 and 2.

3, 6, 9 are my favorites but I really like them all. The epitome of being in the right place at the right time and being prepared. Nice set!
