Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I posted here (formerly writepic but I messed up my renewal), I've been out of the UK far too much and spending a lot of time and effort researching manta rays and developing a couple of other projects. Anyway, I missed UKNP and think I should get back into posting here, so I have joined up again.
Here's a first image taken back this summer. Purists will say it's too close the bottom edge (rather - dropping off it) and that's a given. Sorry!
Good to be back.
Mark.

Actually the white blob on hi head bothers me more thna the cut stomach. ;) But otherwise I like close ups of puffins.

A nice one to come back with! Agree with comments above, but background is beautiful, colours really set the puffin off.
Welcome back!

Thanks for the comments :) There's no white blob on my monitor - I've got it set to how it would print and there would be no white blob in the print. :)

It does look a little pale to me, but I am looking at it on an uncalibrated monitor. Welcome back Mark.

Welcome back Mark! Agree with what's been said, but lovely shot nonetheless.

I think I too see a white blob. I hope you don't mind me doing this, I've attached a copy where I've drawn an arrow to it

ah THAT one ok - thought it was referring to blown out whites. erm. probably a grass stem? i hadn't noticed it until now - now it's probably going to annoy me :) that's why i love coming here. it sharpens me up.

I agree with David - a nice shot but a little pale. Easily "beefed up " a little.

Like it loads and I am sure the white blob can easily be rectified.
