After 3 straight days of shooting this stuff, I finally found the right consistancy of oils and water and lighting. The technical stuff came together on day 2 but getting that water, oil solution to do what I wanted was difficult and time consuming. The lighting tough too and very finicky to say the least. I suppose that's macro photography for ya! I litterally would hold the remote trigger in my mouth while I held the light in one hand and the disc in another. When ready, I would bite down and fire away.

The numbers are not in order...sorry

Really great stuff!! I am drooling over 22, 2, trapped, and 19. This stuff is very difficult and I think you did an amazing job!! Beautiful!

Wicked! You have way more patience than me--i was gonna use the remote in mouth trick but just was too rushed to even bother. I like 'Trapped, Surrounded, and #6 the best of the lot, but theyre all cool. What lens did you use?

Hi Stan, I used my 70-200 f4 IS with a bunch of extension tubes...My lense was about 5-6 inches from the subject.

Crazy good! Especially liked both 22's and Trapped.

Some really nice abstracts with this, Kane. Love the vibrant color in them as well as the variety of results in shapes and sizes.

What a fascinating gallery! Many (most?) of these are just so beautiful. I could easily see buyers for this sort of art.
You've inspired me to look a bit deeper rather than going into hibernation every winter. And for that I thank you.

Three pages of Wow! Azure, Peacock and Trapped are my favorites of this really cool collection of abstracts.
