I've had the Canon 7D for a couple of years and it has worked fine. Recently, though, I've been getting some strange results. Can anyone explain what the problem is.
I am getting a blue cast on some of my photos and I've posted an example and then what it more or less should look like. The image is blue on the LCD on the back of the camera as well as when I down load it to iphoto or Canon's proprietary software.
Not all photos are looking this way and perhaps it is more common in low light situations, though it has never been a problem before.
Here's the technical data on the shot.
Canon 7D
100-400 mm lens at 100 mm
1/60
f 4.5
-.33
ISO 500
WB-cloudy
Picture Style: Landscape-Sharpness 5;Contrast 2; Saturation 3; Color Tone 0; Color Space
Adobe RGB
Thanks for your help.

Are you shooting jpg, Allen?
I think the picture style settings only affect jpg and how it looks in the camera display, not the raw file. If you're shooting raw, you can change the wb in ACR.

Thanks for the responses, Luke and Lance. I was shooting Raw. I agree that it is probably the WB, as I was able to get the photo to appear as it should be by changing the WB in ACR. The problem is 1) I had to move the WB almost all the way to the right to make the correction, 2) I've never had this problem before, so I wonder if something is wrong with the camera, and 3) I had been under the impression that setting the WB to cloudy warmed up the scene.

I recently had this same type of action happen to photos i was shooting of a stage play. I was saving as raw + jpg. I set the white balance to white flourescent for the stage lights. even the raw files had a red cast to them. This never happened before. I guess the setting affect even the RAW shot and I was always told the raw shot would not have any effects from the white balance. Corrction was not hard in Camera Raw but it was needed on every shot.

It sounds like something is wrong with the camera. It's out of warranty, but if you can't correct it, you may have to send it in.
